Well it’s the holiday season again and for most people that means lots of shopping, work parties, eggnog, singing carols, and wearing horribly awful sweaters. Unfortunately, I tend to notice the other (and much more disappointing) side of the holidays; the end of the season.
Just as we’re getting settled into our routines of watching what show at what times and finding ourselves connecting on some level with the characters of our favorite shows, the end comes all too quickly and rips it all away from us. At least until the next season starts up; assuming it’s not canceled to make room for yet another stupid reality show (I mean come on! Do we really need another show about fat people needing to lose weight, or singles failing miserably to get laid that they have to have a TV show set it up for them?).
This year I have continued a number of favorites as well as picked up a few new interests. So this holiday season I’m sad to see them all go. Here they are:
-Sons of Anarchy
-Dexter
-Boardwalk Empire
As is the cycle of nature, though, each ending brings a new start. So in the new year, I’ll be looking to the following: Archer and Family Guy picking back up, and the new Spartacus prequel season.
How about you? Post in the comments with what shows you are sad to see ending this year and which ones you are looking forward to starting in the new year.
Great site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
